Dear friends,
we need to tell you how we’re living these days, in which Venice has been finding itself – once again – under the spotlight of media just gone mad. We would like to bring you the point of view of the lagoon’s residents without any judgement, but rather as an ordinary life record in such a delicate moment for all the world.
We want to share with you, Venice lovers, the great opportunity that is about to take place in the nearest future. The town is shining its brightest. The Canal Grande is a water mirror immerged in a surreal quietness, Piazza San Marco and its Basilica are free from the crowd even during the rush hour; you can enjoy the spring sunset hiding behind the dome of Santa Maria della Salute, and flow with the stream of the real Venetian rhythms.
Together with you, we would like to reverse the point of view: the city’s lost beauty, whose loss has been so criticised and discussed recently, is now right at your hands, and only waits to be taken. Let’s not allow fear to keep us apart, let’s keep in touch!
We’re waiting for you, whenever you can.
With love,
Heiby, Gioele, Zoe and Francesca
