Shopping in Frezzaria street

Frezzaria | Inside Venice

Some of the shops along this street have been there for a long time, others have just opened, but they all contribute to make Frezzaria the perfect shopping street, with such a high concentration of shops. You will not find touristic shops or mass production products; you will enjoy genuine shops instead, where taste, quality, selection and fun are the common traits. Women’s fashion, casual men’s fashion, childrenswear, glass and a photo gallery can be found there.

If you come from the Fenice or Calle dei Fuseri, you will find the Frezzeria Venezia shop that offers a casual style for the modern man. Have a look at the good selection of soft trousers, coloured scarves and the very Venetian hats.

Further down the street, there is ar33studio, the new space created by the artist Arsen Revazov, something between a workshop and an atelier. Russian with Israeli passport and Venetian by adoption, Revazov uses infrared light and double exposure, taking pictures of the world that is not obvious, which is not what we see. It is similar, but different. All photos are in black and white: conceptual, severe, classic and contemporary at the same time. The gallery will host exhibitions of other artists in the future.

Opposite ar33studio, we can see the Antonio Seguso e Amber Hauch art glass shop, glass blower dynasty since 1397. In the shop, you can see a selection of various objects, among others: vases, glasses, chandeliers, lamps and jewels, all strictly made according to the best Murano glass techniques. The historical showroom organises a full calendar of events including visits to the furnace and sensory paths.

If you continue walking, you cannot miss Kirikù, in our opinion one of the best women’s clothes shop in the city. Shabby-chic, romantic and a little retro, that is its style. It offers a rigorous top brand selection: Erika Cavallini, forte_forte, Danielapi, Jamin Puech e Rose’s roses. K. Jacques St. Tropez sandals and Current/Elliot denim are its exclusive brands in Venice. And even bags, accessories, shoes and bathing costumes. You can now also find a brand selection for children.

Pot-pourrì windows will capture your attention for their total white look and their chic country house style. Cocktail dresses in the 50s style, china, candles, fabrics and materials, flowers and wools.

Walk a little bit more and you will get to Fanfaluca, a fashion and design kids store: a funny and lively shop. Most of the items are hand – made, with a special attention to ethics and the environment. Browse around the shop among wooden toys, old dolls, little kitchens, puppets, the bedroom décor, bags and accessories. Highly recommended for adults, too!

On your shopping tour, you should pop into White, a little shop for people who like a young, rock look, based on a black and white contrast. Then continue to Arnoldo & Battois, a trendy shop with a typical Venetian flavour with references to the aesthetics and decoration of the Venetian palaces. Their collections are created and developed in Venice, a wonderful example of the finest Italian artisanship.

Empresa is a must for leather fans and not just for dark souls. There are two points of sale in Venice offering both women’s and men’s collections. Fantastic jackets, bags and weekend bags, silver accessories and booties for her and him.

The shopping route is pleasant because it is never overcrowded, shops are close one to another and you can enjoy the nice and refreshing shade in the hot Venetian summer.
