BTM — Forms of Innovations
In the occasion of the first Venice Glass Week, the platform Breaking the Mould will run a two days workshop to investigate future scenario for the Venetian glass craft and industry, with the aim of introducing innovative approaches into a traditional context.
The event will take place in the newly-designed spaces of Casa Flora, the penthouse in the heart of Venice finely refurbished and furnished by owner Gioele Romanelli in partnership with Diego Paccagnella from Design-Apart: best examples of contemporary design and fine craft are used across the whole apartment to furnish the spaces providing a unique experience for customers.
To promote realities that play a key role in the scene of contemporary excellence in Venice, Casa Flora has also initiated a partnership with Estro, venetian restaurant offering authentic cuisine, and Crescente Interni 1939, that will host the collection of Glass pieces by Breaking the Mould in its showroom in Mestre, via Carducci 58, for the duration of the Venice Glass Week.
For the two days workshop Casa Flora has gathered a selection of the most relevant and interesting thinkers and doers from the international design scene: together with the public of the Venice Glass Week, glasse experts, designers, entrepreneurs and materials researchers will gather to explore the future of the Venetian glass craft and industry, trying to unlock sustainable social, economical and environmental scenarios.
Results of the workshop will be shared with the general public on the 12th of September, at 6.30 pm, during a closing cocktail in Casa Flora.
