Artworks to wear, rare and precious pieces of art, life stories and history of art. One hundred and seventy-one artworks from the 50s to the future.
Wonderful artworks from the private collection of Diane Venet, wife of the French sculptor Bernar Venet, are for the first time in Italy. Each piece tells a story, stories of friendship, anecdotes and life stories. There are the pebbles, which were picked up by Picasso on the beach and later painted by Dora Maar and the piece of bone in which he engraved the portrait of Marie-Thèrèse. With additional works of art including: earrings, brooches, bracelets, pendants, rings designed by Frank Stella, Roy Lichtenstein, Yoko Ono, Georges Braque, Anish Kapoor, Giacomo Balla, Salvador Dalì, Louise Bourgeois, Jeff Koons, Keith Haring, Damien Hirst, Giacometti, Quinn and Fontana.
The venue for Vitraria is located in the magnificent Barbarigo Nani Mocenigo Palace, which is adorned with wooden ceilings and Renaissance frescoes, and overlooks the San Trovaso Rio, a strategic location between Accademia and Zattere.
